Chris & Tristen: Rockford Maternity Session

 
Chris and Tristen and I first met at this photo session! Though we had never been previously acquainted, we had the most wonderful time chatting and getting to know each other, as we captured sweet moments. Chris and Tristen are a stunning couple with a deep passion for Christ; I loved hearing their desire to raise up their little Samantha to know Jesus. Along with having the joy of hearing some of their family dreams, I also got to hear the story of how God brought Chris and Tristen together; they have a beautiful testimony of God's purposeful involvement in each little detail of our lives. 

These images were captured on a wintery day last February; I was excited to hear we have a mutual love for open fields with expressive blue skies! 

Jalyn \\ An Overflow Session

It was a beautiful, breezy day when I ventured out for a photo session with my sweet friend Jalyn. I have always loved fresh open fields and old barns, but up to that point, I had never found a location like that I could use. I was taking the long way home one day when I stumbled across Luton Park's prairie entrance. It was definitely love at first sight; I pulled over right then. I had to experience the loveliness of it all for myself; as I walked down the trail, I thought about what a great fit this park would be for the most recent photo assignment I had received from the Overflow. The way the wind whipped past me... The green trees behind the dense, open fields; the perfection of the old red barn with a rustic, intriguing look.

A few days later, this lovely lady joined me in my prairie explorations! It was such a great day for the session; we had both been quite busy that day--Jalyn with a nursing school clinical, and me with load of homework--it was a peaceful walk. I was so thankful for a chance to catch up with this great friend; since we have met, Jalyn has blessed and encouraged me a thousand times over. Her love for Jesus and thoughtful, sweet personality leave everyone she's around feeling so uplifted. She'll be an amazing nurse!
