Washington, DC Protest Against Health and Human Services

 

Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising put on a protest against Health and Human Services in Washington, DC, one day prior to the 2026 National March for Life. Health and Human Services (HHS) has played a key role in the distribution of the abortion pill in America. This form of abortion has been very detrimental for mothers and babies — it has killed thousands of defenseless preborn children, and some women have died as a result, too. The National Institute of Health found that the abortion pill carries a 10x greater risk of death than surgical abortion. What is marketed as a "private" and "natural" way to destroy your pregnancy has actually cost some women their lives. Moms and babies always deserve better than abortion. And thus activists from PAAU, Susan B. Anthony List, Let Them Live, Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, and Secular Pro-Life spoke in opposition to the HHS's neglectful handling of the abortion pill and called for this deadly treatment to be banned. 

PAAU took their activism to another level after the protest concluded by engaging in a traffic-stopping demonstration — engaging in civil disobedience to put pressure on authorities to pay attention to the suffering that women and children are experiencing from their negligence with abortion pill regulations.
